Rescued dogs
I’ve recently decided to get a young dog from a rescue centre after coming to the conclusion that it didn’t make any sense to fork out hundreds of pounds for a pedigree dog that I would have to wait ages to get, when there are so many hundreds (thousands) of neglected and abandoned dogs needing homes.
I’ve been looking around and find myself constantly shocked by the sheer volume of dogs who have been abandoned, or who never had a home to begin with. I’m even more shocked by the number of dogs who have been severely mistreated, but I have never seen a more horrendous case than the one I stumbled across this evening.

Ella is currently at a dogs home in Swansea, having been found covered in severe chemical burns on her face, legs, and body. How anyone could do something so horrible to another living creature I will never understand, but I find it reassuring to know there are many people who are still willing to help these animals in whatever way they can. You can donate to Ella’s cause and to the rescue centre.
